This person was born on the 14 th August 1945 in Walco Texas. At the age of 5 he moved to Inglewood California with his family and it was while he was in Inglewood he became interested in magic. Doing small magic shows for his friends and family gave him a lot of confidence which he needed as he was quite a shy child. At the age of ten he moved to Garden Grove, this was the year Disneyland opened and he got a job there, and he stayed there till he was 18 and having to be relentlessly cheerful all the time when he worked there has made him a very cheery person to this day. From Disneyworld he enrolled at Long Beach University to study Philosophy, then he went on to UCLA to study theatre and it was there were he started doing some stand up comedy. He went on from there to star on quite a few TV shows, but he finally broke onto the big screen in a short movie called The Absent Minded Waiter .

He was still doing stand up comedy as well as doing more and more films. Some of the roles which he portrayed were Doctor Maxwell Edison - Sgt Peppers, Navin R Johnson - The Jerk, Arthur Parker - Pennies From Heaven, Rigby Reardon - Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid. At this time he also wrote a best selling book called Cruel Shoes. With everything he was doing he became exhausted and even collapsed on stage due to all the pressure.

He then had a run of top films, he could now pick and choose which ones he wanted to do so that the pressure didn't get to him again. Some of the characters he played in those films were Roger Cobb- All Of Me , Fabio Longio - Movers & Shakers, Orin Scrivello - Little Shop Of Horrors , C.D. Bales - Roxanne, Neal Page- Planes, Trains & Automobiles, Freddy Benson - Dirty Rotten Scoundrels & Gil Buckman- Parenthood. As well as doing films he also made his Broadway Debut in a show called Waiting For Godot which he starred with an all star cast.

He has been nominated for 5 Golden Globe Awards and 1 OSCAR but amazingly has never won any awards in his career. The next few films were a bit of a mixture some of them were huge hits and some were terrible flops some of the roles he played were Lucky Day - Three Amigos , Harris K Telemacher- L.A. Story, Newton Davis - Housesitter, Jonas Nightengale - Leap Of Faith, Hotep- The Prince Of Eygpt, Doctor Michael Hfuhrhurr - The Man With Two Brains & Henry Clark - The Out Of Towners. Unfortunately his personal life was not going as well as his professional one as his went through a very messy divorce then he started a relationship with Anne Heche which also went bad as it was rumoured she left him for lesbian Ellen Degeneres.
