This person was born on the 21 st December 1948 in Washington D.C., he had a tough childhood brought up by his mother after his father left at a very early age and also as a child he had a very bad stammer so he taught himself how not to blink to try and take the attention away from his stammer, this also served him very well in later life. He went to Morehouse University in Atlanta to study architecture but a tutor suggested public speaking classes to help with his stammer, which he took and it helped get rid of his stammer but also gave him the acting bug so he changed his major to drama. He not only gained a career at Morehouse he also gained a bride who he is still married to and they have one child. So his movie career started when he left university as he starred in his first film as a character called Leeds.

Unfortunately in the late 80's he was very much into the drug and drink scene apparently his favourite was cocaine and tequila not a good combination. Due to this his promising movie career came to a grinding halt, but he then met up with a director who said if he cleaned himself up he would give him a role so he did he went into rehab two weeks before playing a drug addict on film and when he did this role he was totally clean. So after that his movie career really took off as he starred in roles such as Madlock - Mo Better Blues, Stack Edwards - Goodfellas, B-Bop - Johnny Suede & Gator Purify - Jungle Fever.

By now he was a serious workaholic filming between 3-4 films a year some of the characters he played in those films were Marshall- Fathers & Sons, Lt. Cmdr Robby Jackson - Patriot Games, Sgt Wes Luther - Loaded Weapon 1, Ray Arnold - Jurassic Park, Tat Lawson - Menace II Society, Calvin Hart- Kiss Of Death, Doyle Gibson - Changing Lanes & Trevor Garfield - 187.

He has won one Bafta award and has been nominated for an Oscar and 4 Golden Globe awards, he also presented the MTV Movie Awards in 1998.

Trying to keep up with this man's film history was crazy as he was doing more and more films one year he even managed to find time to film 5 movies some of the roles that he played were Mitch Henessey - The Long Kiss Goodnight, Ordell Robbie - Jackie Brown, Dr Harry Adams - Sphere, Russell Franklin - Deep Blue Sea, Elijah Price - Unbreakable, Agent Augustus Gibbon - XXX, Rufus - Kill Bill 1 & 2 also Elmo Mcelroy - The 51 st State.

He also supplied the voice of Frozone in the film The Incredibles, and the character of Jules Winnnfield - Pulp Fiction was voted second coolest movie character of all time only to be beaten by the character Tyler Durden from fight club.

And finally one of his most famous characters even though he has played many was when he used a purple light saber in the Star Wars films as Mace Windu he is of course
