I Was Born On The 19 February 1957 In London, I remember spending most of my childhood playing on bomb sites until the nation became aware of the moors murders and all that changed. My dad used to take me to the movies every Wednesday and I remember my first cinematic experience was 101 dalmations. When I witnessed Albert Finney in Saturday Night Sunday Morning I Thought I Could Do That And From That Moment On I Knew That's What I Wanted To Do. Another Passion Of Mine Was Boxing Which I Took Up At A Very Young Age And I Used To Be Called “Little Suggs” Over The Years I Had 88 Welterweight Fights And Lost Just 8 Of Them. I Fought For England On Several Occasions And Was London Schoolboy Champion 3 Times. |

I Enroled In The Expensive 900 Pound A Term Corona School In Hammersmith Which Put A Strain On Life At Home With The Average Wage Back Then Being Just 36 Pound A Week. I Didn't Fit In At The School And Wasted The Opportunity My Dad Was Working So Hard For I Once Received An Exam Mark Of Zero For Quoting Julias Caesar In Ripe Cockney And For Turning Up To A Ballet Class In Bovver Boots And A Leotard, I Was Also A Skinhead At The Time Which The School Didn't Approve Of So I Knew Things Were Gonna Be Far From Easy. Made My First Real Stage Debut In “What A Crazy World” In Stratford But I Danced And Sang So Badly Even My Normally Very Supporting Father Said “Why Don't You Call It A Day Son”. |

The Crunch Came When I Learned I Was The Only Pupil At The School Who Wasn't Invited To the Christmas Party As I Was Deemed A Bad Influence I Took Revenge By Placing A Plank Of Wood Filled With Nails Under The Head Masters Car This Surprise Surprise Got Me Expelled. For A Final Laugh And A Farewell Drink I Went Up To The BBC To Meet Some Of The Pupils Who Were At An Audition, While Waiting Around I Managed To Blag My Way Into Another Audition It Ended Up Being For One Of The Most Notorious Plays In History And When The Director Actually Offered Me The Part I Was Gobsmacked Especially Considering The Role Had Been Originally Written For A Glaswegian But They Said They Liked My Cockey Aggressive Attitude. Sadly The Play Was Shelved Indefinately & Banned. |
