This Person Was Born On The 18 th August 1952 In Houston Texas. in high School this person was a talented footballer & Gymnast who won an athletics scholarship to college. This person also trained as a dancer from an early age and was trained by 2 of the most prestigious dance troupes around which were the Harkness Ballet & Joffrey Ballet. But Due to a recurring knee problem he had to turn his back on dancing and turn his attention to acting and he got his first big break when he played Danny in the broadway version Of Grease.

His stage success led him to Hollywood where he starred in films playing the characters of Ace Johnston (Skatetown Usa) Darrel Curtis (The Outsiders) Kevin Scott (Uncommon Valour) & Ernie Webster (Grandview USA).

He also starred in some TV roles and he had a guest appearance on the tv show Mash as a soldier dying of leukemia, he also starred in a mini series as the character Orry Main.

Around this time he also became addicted to booze & It became quite a serious problem when he became an alcoholic

Into The late 80's the roles came in thick and fast starring in roles such as Jed Eckert (Red Dawn), Derek Sutton (Youngblood), Nomad (Steel Dawn), Truman Gates (Next Of Kin) & James Dalton (Roadhouse).

He was also one of the backing dancers on Staying Alive, He has only been married once and is still married to the same lady today.

In 1991 he was chosen as the Peoples magazine most sexiest man alive in the early 90's his movie career was still going strong starring as characters such as Jim Cunningham (Donnie Darko), Bodhi (Point Break) & Vida Boheme (Too Wong Foo Thanks For Everything) But then into the late 90's and early 2000's he was still starring in films but they weren't quite as popular as a lot of his earlier stuff starring in roles such as Jack Charles (Fatherhood), Max Lowe (City Of Joy), Jack Crews (Black Dog), & Travis McPherson (One Last Dance).

Even Though Now His Career is not as strong as it was he will always be remembered for his role as Johnny Castle who dirty danced with Jennifer Gray. Also the pottery scene with Demi Moore in Ghost is probably one of the most famous movie scenes of all time he is of course.
