This person was born on the 9 th June 1961, in Edmonton Canada. A ‘self described army brat' he was moved several times in the early years of his life till finally in 1971 his family settled down in Burnaby, Vancouver when his father retired from the army. In his teens he experimented with different things such as creative writing, art and rock & roll!! But at the age of 15 he dropped out of school before he graduated something he has always regretted all his life, but he did go to join a drama group which gave him the bug for acting. And it was just before his 16 th birthday that he debuted in his first TV show as Jamie in Leo & Me . Then at the 18 he moved to Los Angeles doing a few bit parts till he got another major TV role as Alex Keaton . |

Over the time on TV he won 3 Emmy's and a Golden Globe Award, which made him one of Americas most promising young actors. This of course brought him on to the big screen playing characters such as Scott Howard - Teen Wolf, Joe Rasnick - Light Of Day, Brantley Foster - The Secret Of My Success & Jamie Conway - Bright Lights Big City. He met his wife when he was working on TV but it was just after he had this run of films his first child was born. |

One of the last films that he did was as the voice of the loveable mouse Stuart Little it was the second time he had played this character. Unfortunately in 1998 he was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease which he carried on working with but as his condition deteriated he had to cut down on his work load, but he now puts a lot of his time and energy into the foundation for Parkinson's disease.
