This person was born on the 8 th July 1958 in Philadelphia. He went to school at the prestigious Julia Reynolds Masterman Laboratory and Demonstration School then he started out his acting career at The Circle In The Square where he was the youngest student to appear in a production. Then he moved on to the Manning Street Actor's Theatre at the age of 18, and from there he made his feature debut in the film Animal House a film by director John Landis .

In the next few years he starred in a minor role as Jack Burrell - Friday The 13 th also he starred in a film called Starting Over . Then he went into television starring in a couple of series one called “Search For Tomorrow” and the other was called “The Guiding Light” .

Then in the 90's his career had a massive boost and he starred in quite a few Blockbuster films in roles such as Valentine McKee - Tremors, David Labraccio - Flatliners, Willie O'Keefe - JFK, Capt . Jack Ross - A Few Good Men, Henri Young - Murder In The First & Jack Swigert - Apollo 13.

He proved he could also play sleaze as well as real to life roles playing characters such as Sean Nokes - Sleepers and Sgt Ray Duquette - Wild things. Then in 2000 his film roles took a very serious side to them playing roles such as Tom Witzky - Stir Of Echoes, Sebastian Caine - Hollowman, Joe Hickey- Novocaine & Sean Devine - Mystic River. And he is also proud to say that he has never lived in Hollywood in all the time he has been an actor.

And finally the one role he is remembered for which really started his acting career off is as Ren McCormack in Footloose the film about a city boy shaking up a small religious town by dancing!!! He is of course
