This person was born on the 28 th October 1967 in Georgia USA. Born into a very large family which spread as far as England, Wales, Scotland & Ireland. Her parents ran a children's theatre from their home and because of this she got the acting bug from a very early age. She attended Fitzhugh Lee Elementry School, then Griffen Middle School then finally Campbell High School. After graduation she moved to New York with her sister, this is when she attended acting classes and got herself an agent but at first no work seem to be coming her way. Then eventually in 1988 she got her break starring as Daryle Shane a small role in the film Satisfaction .

After having a small TV part as Candy Hutchins . Then she had a run of films all with leading roles the characters which she played were Daisy Arujo - Mystic Pizza, Maria Collogero - Blood Red & Shelby Latchene - Steel Magnolias. It was with the last role that she won her first Golden Globe award. She then had a run of big films but it also brought her private life to the public eye, as she was never out of the papers and to this day it is still the same. Some of the roles in which she starred were Rachel Mannus - Flatliners, Laura Burney - Sleeping With The Enemy, Hilary O'Neil - Dying Young & Derby Shaw - The Pelican Brief.

After the crazy few years doing a lot of films she had some time off and spent time doing one of her other loves writing poetry and she brought out her own book of poems called “The Makings Of Insanity” . At this time she also turned down quite a few roles in films such as Basic Instinct , Sleepless in Seattle and Shakespeare In Love . After a couple of years she returned to films and came back with a bang, having a run of big films some of the characters which she played were Anne Eisenhower- Pret A' Porter, Kitty Kiernan - Michael Collins, Julianne Porter - My Best Friends Wedding, Alice Sutton - Conspiracy Theory & Isabel Kelly - Stepmom.

Up to this point she had won 3 Golden Globes and 1 BAFTA. The run of films she was in were all massive blockbusters some of the characters she portrayed were Anna Scott - Notting Hill, Maggie Carpenter - Runaway Bride, Samantha Barzel - The Mexican, Kathleen Harrison - America's Sweethearts, Patricia Watson - Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind & Katherine Ann Watson - Mona Lisa's Smile.

Her most famous role which put her into the Holllywood limelight was when she played the prostitute who won Richard Gere's heart Vivian Ward . One of her most recent roles in which she acted in her first and only sequel was as Tess Ocean In Oceans 12. And finally the role in which she won her first Oscar was in the true life story Erin Brockovich she is of course….
