This person was born on the 21 st November 1945 in Washington USA. Born the daughter of a musician, she was brought into the limelight at a very early age, she was 3 years old when she took her first dance class and by the age of 17 she was running her own dance studio and was studying drama at the American University.

Then in the late 60's early 70's she had a run of films starring in roles such as Toni Simmons - Cactus Flower, Jill Tanner - Butterflies Are Free, Lou Jean Poplin - The Sugarland Express & Gloria Mundy - Foul Play.

Her movie career was still going strong into the 80's as she had already won one Oscar for best actress. Some of the roles that she was starring in at this time were Gloria Mundy - Foul Play, Paula McCullen- Best Friends, Kay Walsh - Swing Shift, Joanna Stayton - Overboard & Molly Mcgrath - Wildcats. Also at the age of 39 she posed on the front of Playboy magazine.

In the early 90's she took some time off to look after her sick mother, but in 1994 her illness took a turn for the worst and died. So in 1995 she came back to work in the movies starring as characters such as Marianne Graves - Bird On A Wire, Adrienne Saunders - Deceived, Gwen Phillips - Housesitters, Elise Elliott- The First Wives Club & Nancy Clark - The Out Of Towners.

One of the roles she will always be remembered for is as Private Benjamin in a film of the same name. And finally she has quite a famous family as her daughter is Kate Hudson and her partner of quite a few years is Kurt Russell she is of course:
