My kindergarten teacher told me that one day I would aspire to be an artist.

In 1934 the family acquired a black and white dog called Spike

In 1937 my sketch of Spike was included in a Newspaper comic called “Believe It or Not”

After fighting in the War, I returned to my love of art getting a cartoon strip called “Li’l
 Folks” published in a newspaper called the “St Paul Pioneer Press”

After Many of the newspapers disliked the title of my comic strip renaming it “Peanuts” in 1950

I am best known for the characters of Charlie Brown and Snoopy
