My father was Welsh, my first single “Judge Not (Unless You Be Judged), failed to chart in the UK but was a smash hit in my home country

I am the father of twelve children, seven of whom were illegitimate, and two were adopted

I survived an assassination attempt in 1976, and have hit albums entitled, “Catch A Fire”, “Confrontation” and “Legend”

I died in 1981, aged 36, and was buried with my favourite guitar, a cheery red Fender Stratocaster

In 1983 I had a posthumous hit with a song called “Buffalo Soldier”

I have a son called Ziggy

My backing band were called “The Wailers”
